My journey with Tempo Living started off with a morning call from beautiful Lia. Her friendliness and understanding of my situation landed me with an appointment with her at Austral Display homes. Meeting her I found her exceptionally professional in what she does. I had some fears as this was the very first time for me to build and she managed to help me overcome it. She helped me obtain a block of land and in no time I had signed up to build with Tempo. Lia was amazingly outstanding, knowledgeable, honest, very helpful and always a phone call away. I was then handed over to Sue, who I found equally professional and knowledgeable in her area of work. Always answerng any questions, very friendly and ready to go that extra mile followed by Steven, the site supervisor who was absolutely amazing, updating on the progress of the project every step of the way. Had the pleasure of having Paul, fill in for 3 weeks while Steven was away on holidays. I can honestly say the whole Tempo team is very professional, friendly and helpful. Today I am sitting in this beautiful new home writing this review full of Joy because You Tempo Living… made my dream come true! Thank you Tempo I will highly recommend you to all my family and friends.

Tempo was absolutely outstanding during the whole process of building my first new home. Communication was clear and consistent. Workmanship was excellent. 5 Stars – An Outstanding Building Experience with Tempo Homes Our 22-year-old son has just completed building his first home with Tempo Homes, and we couldn’t be more impressed. The entire process—from start to finish—was seamless, professional, and stress-free. Having personally built eight homes over the past 30 years, my husband and I were determined to help our son choose the right builder—not just the cheapest. Tempo Homes proved to be exactly that. Their team consistently delivered outstanding service, quality workmanship, and exceptional attention to detail. The quality of the build itself has absolutely exceeded our expectations. It’s solid, beautifully finished, and a true testament to the craftsmanship and care the team puts into every home they create. Every person our son interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely committed to building a high-quality home. The standout was Joe Monteleone, the site supervisor, who went above and beyond throughout the build. He kept our son fully informed every step of the way and made it clear at handover that the support doesn’t stop there. That level of care and reassurance means a great deal, particularly for someone experiencing the building journey for the first time. While Tempo may not have been the cheapest option, their inclusions, finish, and build quality clearly justify the difference. Their standard offerings are generous, well-considered, and a cut above what many other builders provide as upgrades—making the overall value exceptional. They also take great pride in their work and in building real relationships with clients. At no point did our son feel like “just another number”—and as parents, we are incredibly grateful for that. In an industry where horror stories are far too common, Tempo Homes stands out as a builder that truly delivers on their promises. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

Very happy with the end-to-end process from sales to the final handover. The timely communication and swift responses from the back office and the site manager helped us stay informed of the progress. They were upfront with all the details and they delivered to their words, which I heard is not so common in the industry. I am totally satisfied with the build quality. Even the third party inspector found only minor/cosmetic issues at the final handover. Joe, our site manager, was very responsive, respectful, knowledgeable, and patient with our questions and he accommodated our requests for regular site visits. He promptly addressed any concerns we had. Couldn’t be happier with his professionalism. Highly recommend Tempo Living and Joe!!

I am happy with the overall quality of the build, no major defects were pointed out by the inspector and all minor things were fixed prior to hand over. I would recommend using Tempo as your trusted builder.

The journey with Tempo Living has been smooth from the start. From the beginning visiting the display home at Austral, we who knew nothing about building a house, gained very valuable information from Wail Jetou, who patiently guided us how to find the land, where to look and what sort of land size which best suitable for our dream home. Wail Jetou also designed the house and based on our specific needs and very particular requirements, taking a lot of time to go back and forth finalising the design, Wail’s professionalism and attention to detail was truly magnificent. We’ve finished all the colour selection within 1 day and Wail’s insight was very valuable in helping us finalising all the internal and external colour schedule. Tempo Living is very transparent with the timeline as when to start construction and estimated finish time (number of weeks) and straight before signing the tender we already knew that this journey will be very pleasant, and Jeremy Whiting made the Tender Acceptance process is very easy and well prepared even though we did it through Zoom meeting but able to answer all our questions and provided clarity so we can sign the building contract very quickly. The site supervisor, Paul Caruana was exceptionally knowledgeable and detail, the communication was fantastic with weekly updates and also very accommodating whenever we would like to have a site inspection and also able to answer all of the silly questions (coming from non-builder) and very patient with us throughout the stages of construction process until practical completion time. Finally, I highly recommend Tempo Living to anyone who want to build a dream home and rest assured that you won’t get the headache as all the other people warn dealing with builder!

Loved working with Tempo living for my new build. Initially was hesitant as I had no choice (developer condition) other than to go with Tempo living but felt very comfortable once they started and through completion. Even my third party inspector was impressed other than few minor corrections here and there. Loved how Steve (site manager) kept regular updates on every Friday on what was done and what would be done. Tempo also details everything in contract documents on materials and type etc thus avoiding any conflicts through build process. They executed all variations as described with out fault. Tempo living is worth considering for any new build.

We approached this project with a mix of excitement and apprehension, but the experience turned out to be remarkable in every way. We heard about Tempo living during one the land release phases in Box Hill. Post covid, the builder fraternity was going through a turbulence and it made it a little more difficult for us to get a builder who delivered quality stuff at a reasonable price. Altogether, we had 4 core phases of the build and my experience with each is mentioned below. Selecting a Builder: This is a critical stage for anyone who is building a house as we tend to select a partner whose going to play on your block of land while you wait and watch from outside. For us this stage came at a point wherein we were hearing a lot of builders going bust in the Australian market. After doing an initial screening, I was able to drill down to two options. Tempo Living was up against a known name in the construction fraternity. What distinguished Tempo here was that their sales consultant – Leigh Kostiainen, spoke only about their strengths and what they bring to the table if I chose them. The other builder(s) were focused more on highlighting the downside of going with Tempo. Leigh was very clear in explaining me Tempo’s build process/stages and she also walked me through their 10-10-20 build duration scheme which basically meant 10 days of tender, 10 weeks of Pre-construction and 20 weeks of construction (single story house). I think they have renamed it to “10 day tender, 10 week site start, Guaranteed build time” and I can understand that as every house is unique and may take slightly different time to build. This promise is actually real as I have witnessed it first hand during my build. I also remember a time when I wanted to talk to someone from their management to get a sense of satisfaction and assurance. Leigh happily connected me with their managing director – Martin Apap, a very knowledgeable and experienced person who provided me with an assurance and clarified the doubts I had then. Last but not the least, Tempo happily provided me with a customer reference and I think that was the time when I was sure about going ahead with them. Sales/Tender Phase (10 days): Things moved really fast once I engaged with Tempo. Their plans are very practical and the complimentary stuff provided to me were all relevant and useful – especially when I was building to invest. They offer pre-selected colour combinations that makes you less confused when making a selection. Any deviations were comfortable accommodated, especially arounds colours. Tempo offer templatised internals such as kitchen cabinetry etc based on the model / design a customer pics to build. This helps in a faster delivery of the house. Pre-Construction (10 weeks): This was the second phase and I feel yet again Tempo nailed on the timelines and the quality of work they produced. I met another legend – Jeremy Whiting who helped in setting up the plans and the timelines for us. Our block had high contours and hence the expectations on the build timelines as well as the site cost were carefully calibrated by the team. I was given 24 weeks build timeline given the high contours and the additional site work. All costs were fixed and there were no additional variations / price hikes / shocks / surprises given to us at any stage of this phase. The internal/external/electrical meetings were timely scheduled and facilitated. The pre-construction team members – Alison Woodfield, Hunny Cuthbert and Sue Mackey helped me to finish this stage in 10 weeks. Build/Construction (24 weeks): The show was managed by Joe Monteleone and he is a rocket!!! He provided a clear picture on the approach to the entire build and thereafter ensured no delays to the timelines. His communication was very through, regular, clear and transparent. He didn’t shy away from highlighting any delays, and yet also suggested a recovery plan to ensure the timeline were not jeopardised. With Joe, there was not even a single instance wherein I got a chance to put forward any complains/concerns. The scheduling of material and resources was so well planned that it felt as if the build was on auto pilot mode. During the pre-handover inspection, each and every point we highlighted was addressed before the keys were handed over to us. As a customer, we took a chance of going with Tempo and I now feel happy that we did so. They are not huge in terms of the number of houses they build every year, but they certainly are huge when it comes to commitment on quality and timelines. Given a chance, I will definitely build with them again.
